Dr. Aaron Gerarde Paul

Orthopaedic Surgeon and Orthopaedic Oncologist

Aaron Paul has been practising medicine for the past 24 years, and is still very excited about it. He has  been more focused on orthopaedic oncology surgery for the past 13 years, and the management of sarcomas and bone metastases. Aaron has served as a doctor in Teluk Intan, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Kota Bharu, Adelaide and currently in Kota Kinabalu. He has learnt a lot from his patients, especially about resilience and hope. Grieving with them is always difficult and painful. He hopes to live till a hundred, God willing, in good health and of sound mind. The Orthopaedic Oncology work in Sabah sees around 300 plus surgeries being done a year, and in various hospitals around Sabah. There are very good partnerships with clinical oncology, and the other surgical disciplines. Dr Aaron finds that this is one of the biggest satisfactions of the cancer work in Sabah. 

Dr. Aaron Hiew Wi Han

Dr. Aaron Hiew graduated with a Doctor in Medicine degree from University Kebangsaan Malaysia. He subsequently completed his Fellowship in Palliative Medicine, Ministry of Health Malaysia and is now practising as a Palliative Medicine Specialist at the Department of Medicine, Hospital Kuala Lumpur till now. Dr. Aaron has a keen interest in the aspect of education and improving the skills and knowledge of healthcare workers. He is involved in the Advanced Diploma program for Palliative Care in the Institut Latihan KKM. He also serves in other committees in the MOH palliative groups.

Ms Ablooda Marsally graduated from Kolej Sains Kesihatan Bersekutu Sungai Buloh, Selangor with a diploma in radiotherapy. She is currently working as a radiation therapist at Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah and has served for almost 6 years.

Dr. Ahmad Nordin Afandi

Dr. Ahmad obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Universiti Malaya back in 2000 and 2009, respectively. He did housemanship and was a medical officer at Hospital Umum Sarawak, in his hometown in Kuching. He had a short stint at Kapit District Hospital, which was only accessible by boat and helicopter, followed by gazettement as an ENT specialist at Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Kota Kinabalu. He has been working in Sabah ever since, and currently covers ENT services at Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Hospital Queen Elizabeth II and Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah. He also does sessionals in KPJ Sabah and Gleneagles KK.

Dr. Ana Vetriana Abd Wahab

Dr. Ana Vetriana Abd Wahab holds a medical degree from the Science University of Malaysia (USM) and doctorate in obstetrics and gynaecology from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). She completed her subspecialty study in Reproductive Medicine in 2018. She received her training in fertility preservation, particularly ovarian tissue cryopreservation, at the Institute of Experimental Clinical Research (IREC) at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. She was awarded a Fellowship in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology by the International Federation of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (IFEPAG) in Melbourne, Australia (2019). 

In addition to being an expert in reproductive health, she is the only paediatric and adolescent gynaecologist in Borneo. Her areas of expertise include infertility and fertility preservation, advanced gynaecological laparoscopic surgery, congenital or Mullerian anomalies, and endometriosis. Dr. Ana V has also produced and reviewed a number of publications and is a frequent speaker at local and international events.
Dr. Ana V is currently practising at the SabahCare Fertility Centre, KPJ Sabah and Gleneagles Kota Kinabalu.

Dr. Andik Fadilah Abdul Aziz

Dr. Andik Fadilah received the Medical Doctor, M.D. degree in 2007 and Master of Medicine, MMED (Nuclear Medicine) in 2017, both from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has been practising in the field of Nuclear Medicine at Institut Kanser Negara, Putrajaya. She is a fellow of the Asian Nuclear Medicine Board (FANMB) since 2020 and she underwent a fellowship in Nuclear Oncology and Radionuclide Therapy at the University College London Hospital, United Kingdom from October 2021 till October 2022. She is passionate and particularly interested in the radionuclide therapy which includes Radioiodine therapy with I-131, Peptide Receptor Radioactive Therapy with Lu-177 DOTATATE, Prostate Cancer therapy with Lu-177 PSMA, Metaiodobenzylguanidine(MIBG) therapy for pheochromocytoma and neuroblastoma and Selective Internal Radioactive Therapy for malignant and metastatic liver disease. Her focus is always on the individual patient, ensuring they receive appropriate and personalised care leading to improved quality of life.

Dr. Angel Kwan Khor Nee

Dr. Angel Kwan is currently a Clinical Oncologist at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB), Ipoh Perak. She completed her undergraduate studies at University Malaya (UM) in 2011. She then obtained her Master in Clinical Oncology from UM in 2021. She is active as a speaker, moderator, and panellist in local and international meetings and conferences. She has special interest in breast, gastrointestinal, colorectal, urology, gynaecology, as well as  head and neck malignancies. Currently, she has started a clinical trial in HRPB.

Dr. Arfian Ibrahim

Dr. Arfian obtained his Medical Degree from University of Wales in 2000. Following his specialisation in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physician, UK he went on to sub-specialise in Respiratory Medicine at Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Sabah. He has worked in the United Kingdom, Australia and various hospitals in Sabah before joining Gleneagles Hospital, Kota Kinaablu. Dr. Arfian is trained in addition to a wide variety of general respiratory problems including sleep medicine, interventional pulmonology and critical care. His main interest is in interstitial lung diseases and interventional pulmonology.

Dr. Arnil George Sirimanne

Dr. Arnil Sirimanne completed his undergraduate studies at Penang Medical College and got his MB BCh BAO (Ireland) degree in 2002. He completed his postgraduate training in Clinical Oncology in 2017 where Universiti Malaya awarded him the Master of Clinical Oncology (MCO) degree. He worked as a clinical oncologist at Hospital Umum Sarawak and Institut Kanser Negara until the end of 2021. Dr Arnil has taken part in a number of clinical trials and has been involved in clinical teaching for the oncology postgraduate training programme in Universiti Malaya. His current interests are stereotactic radiosurgery of the brain, head and neck and urological malignancies. Currently, he is practising as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Mr Awangku Nazrin Mohd Dain

Mr Awangku graduated from Universiti Malaysia Sabah in 2003, with a Bachelor Degree in Physics with Electronics. Before joining the Ministry of Health Malaysia, he worked as an engineering inspector in the oil and gas industry. From 2004 to 2012, he worked in the Government sector and led the Radiation Safety and Health Section, under the Engineering Unit, Sabah State Health Department (JKNS). He is active as a speaker on radiation protection issues in Sabah, including non-ionizing radiation, in line with Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission. He joined the Radiology Department at Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-Kanak sabah (HWKKS) in 2013, before joining the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department in the same hospital, in 2018 until now.

Ms Azizan Mohd Isa

Ms Azizan earned her Diploma in Nursing and Post-Basic Oncology Certificate from Kuala Lumpur Nursing College. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Critical Care) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Master of Education (Guidance and Counselling) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She has also completed Post-Basic training in Hematology Care (BMT) in Sydney, Australia with a JPA scholarship and obtained a Certificate of  World Enterostomal Therapy Nursing at Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaysia under Ministry of Health scholarship. For her, teaching is a way to share knowledge and skills with others. Therefore after retiring in 2021 as an Oncology Nursing Tutor, she continues to share knowledge and skills as a freelance lecturer and facilitator in Basic Cancer Care Workshop and Post-Basic Oncology Nursing. She is currently with the IMC nursing training college at Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Dr. Azura Deniel

Dr. Azura is a consultant clinical oncologist at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff, United Kingdom in 1997. She then completed her postgraduate training with a Master of Clinical Oncology from Universiti Malaya in 2006. She has wide experience in the treatment of breast, lung, colorectal, gynaecological, and head and neck cancers. Throughout her career, Dr. Azura is actively involved in training, research and clinical trials. She was also involved in the development of various cancer clinical practice guidelines, such as the Management of Cancer Pain 2010, the Management of Cervical Cancer 2015 and the Management of Colorectal Carcinoma 2017. She was the lead editor of the Ministry of Health Systemic Therapy Protocol, 3rd Edition, in 2016. Currently Dr. Azura is a member of the Malaysian Oncology Society, as well as a member of the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).

Dr. Chan Ming Jun

Ms Chanida Sathitwatthanawirot

Ms Chanida Sathitwatthanawirot graduated with a master's degree in medical physics from Mahidol University, Thailand in 2018. Since then, she has worked as a medical physicist at Siriraj Hospital for over 5 years. Her expertise primarily revolves around Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and MR-Linac technology. She has been gaining practical insights into MR-Linac and conducting research projects related to MR-Linac technology. Furthermore, she serves as a lecturer, educating and sharing insights about MR-Linac advancements.

Dr. Chen May Feng

Dr. Chen May Feng is currently a Clinical Oncologist at Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru. She attained her medical degree from University Malaysia Sabah. Dr. Daniel Gan is a clinical oncologist at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He graduated with MBBS from University Malaya in 2013. He obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2017. He subsequently received the Master of Clinical Oncology from University Malaya in 2022, followed by the attainment of the Specialty Certificate in Medical Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians UK in 2023. Dr. Daren Teoh Choon Yu

Dr. Daren Teoh obtained his Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nottingham in 1999. He went on to gain the MRCP (UK) and FRCR (UK) qualifications and completed his specialist training in clinical oncology in the UK. 

Dr. Daren was previously Consultant Oncologist at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, UK. On return to Malaysia, he was Head of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department and Clinical Research Centre at Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah from 2010 to 2014. He has been a Principal Investigator in over 10 multi-centred clinical trials and published his findings in peer reviewed journals. 

He is currently a Consultant Oncologist at KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital and is an Honorary Lecturer at University Malaysia Sabah.

Dr. David Lee Dai Wee

Dr. David Lee Dai Wee is a Clinical Oncologist at the University of Malaya Medical Centre and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. He received his undergraduate medical education at International Medical University, and subsequently Master of Clinical Oncology at the University of Malaya in 2020. Dr. Lee also has FRCR (Clinical Oncology) qualification from 2022.

He completed a fellowship in experimental therapeutics under the guidance of Dr. Daniel Tan at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, where he was involved in the conduct of more than 40 early-phase clinical trials. 

His areas of interest include early-phase clinical trials, thoracic oncology, and head and neck oncology. He is the inaugural recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Leadership Development Program - Asia Pacific award in 2021-2022. Dr. Lee is a member of the ASCO Trainee and Early Career Advisory Committee and the ASCO Membership Advisory Group.

Mr Emmanuel Edrus

Dr. Eng Jie Yi is a clinical oncologist at Hospital Umum Sarawak. She obtained her medical degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2011 and Master of Clinical Oncology at Universiti Malaya in 2021. She is actively involved in international clinical trials as investigator focusing on upper gastrointestinal tract malignancy, colorectal and skin cancers. She is passionate about hereditary cancer syndrome and is currently leading the cancer genetic clinic at Hospital Umum Sarawak, in collaboration with the Genetic Department of Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She is a member of Malaysian Oncological Society (MOS) and European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).

Dr. Eznal Izwadi Mohd Mahidin

Dr. Eznal Izwadi Mohd Mahidin graduated with an MD from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2007. The first 3 years of his career was in Kelantan, mainly at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, before moving to Kuala Lumpur and joining the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department, Hospital Kuala Lumpur in 2010. He obtained his Master of Clinical Oncology from Universiti Malaya in 2016 and currently works as a clinical oncologist at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. His areas of interest are in breast cancer, head and neck radiotherapy, gynaecological and lung malignancies. He is involved in several clinical trials for various tumour sites and is also a part of the group developing the Malaysian Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for the Management of Breast Cancer, 3rd Edition. Additionally, he is also appointed as one of the trainers for the Master of Clinical Oncology training programme under Universiti Malaya.

Dr. Fong Chin Heng

Dr. Fong Chin Heng obtained his medical degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia and master degree in clinical oncology from Universiti Malaya, with training at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and HUKM. He went on to do his two-year radiation oncology fellowship attachment at Princess Margaret Cancer Center, Canada, in central nervous system and genitourinary cancers, focusing on Gammaknife stereotactic radiosurgery, MRI-guided HDR prostate brachytherapy, as well as palliative radiotherapy and oligometastasis program (PROP). He was awarded the Best Fellow Award in 2020. Dr. Fong is currently serving at Hospital Pulau Pinang, having previously served at Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru. He is a trainer for the master and parallel pathway, as well as “Train the Trainer” programmes. He is the principal investigator for several lung, prostate, upper gastrointestinal and breast cancer trials.

Dr. Gilbert B. Wilfred

Dr. Gilbert is a Clinical Haematologist practising at Hospital Queen Elizabeth in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. His current responsibilities encompass the management of both malignant and benign haematological conditions within inpatient and outpatient context, including conducting visiting clinics at various district locations. His primary focus lies in the field of malignant haematology and stem cell transplant. He also assumes the role of an external lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and actively engages in multiple clinical trials.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gokula Kumar Appalanaido

Associate Professor Dr. Gokula studied medicine at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and pursued his 5-year specialist training under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College Of Radiologists (RANZCR) Consultant Radiation Oncologist training programme at National University Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital,  Singapore and William Buckland Radiotherapy Centre, Alfred Health, Melbourne, Australia. He was awarded the Fellowship in Radiation Oncology (FRANZCR) by RANZCR in 2013. He is currently practising at AMDI, USM and Penang Adventist Hospital. His primary interest is in brachytherapy for the liver and tongue. The HyBIRT radiotherapy technique for tongue cancer is a novel treatment method developed by AMDI-USM team lead by Assoc Prof Dr. Gokula and the findings were presented as a proffered paper at ESTRO 2023.

Dr. Gregorius Ben Prajogi

Dr. Prajogi works as a CNS and Head and Neck consultant radiation oncologist at Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Indonesia. Outside clinical and research work, he actively takes part in several national and international initiatives on cancer control and medical education. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as Associate Education Officer at the Division of Human Health at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), supporting the agency’s education and training initiatives including e-learning/ e-contouring programs and initiation of international virtual tumour boards. He is currently serving as President of the Indonesian Radiation Oncology Society and the South East Asian Radiation Oncology Group.

Dr. Gregory Wheeler

Dr. Greg Wheeler studied medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He completed his radiation oncology training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and subsequently did a Paediatric radiation fellowship at St Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He has been the Tumour Stream Lead for Paediatrics and Late Effects at the Peter Mac since 2006. He was the RANZCR Paediatric Special interest group chair from 2008 to 2018, and has been the Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service medical director since 2019. He is a passionate believer in lifelong survivorship care for paediatric cancer patients.

Dr. Hadi Ab Jalil

Dr. Hadi Ab Jalil is currently a clinical oncologist in the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Hospital Umum Sarawak. He obtained his medical degree and subsequently his Master in Clinical Oncology at University Malaya. He has experience in clinical oncology since 2013 and is actively involved in numerous clinical trials as principal investigator as well as sub-investigator, mainly in genitourinary malignancy. His interests are in genitourinary malignancy and neuro-oncology.

Dr. Hayani Abdul Wahid

Dr. Hayani graduated from University of Western Australia in 2000 and completed her Master of Clinical Oncology from University Malaya in 2010. She had extensive oncology training and experiences for the past 22 years and had won few best service awards during her oncology services in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She had worked in various oncology disciplines and initiated the first Lung Tumour Board Meeting in Institute of Respiratory Medicine, Kuala Lumpur in 2010. She was also a key person in the development of the curriculum of Advanced Diploma in Nursing Oncology and Advanced Diploma in CT Simulation. 

Dr. Hayani is currently a Resident Consultant at Mahkota Medical Centre and holds practice right in Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh and Aurelius Hospital Nilai. She has special interest in breast and gynaecological malignancies and is currently active in clinical trials involving novel treatment and biosimilar drugs.  She has been invited as reviewer of Medical Journal of Malaysia and she also writes in her Facebook page to educate the public about cancer. She has given many public talks on breast cancer both locally and internationally and recently she led Mahkota Medical Centre to be the first hospital being awarded Breast Cancer Clinical Program Certification internationally. Dr Hayani holds membership of European Society of Medical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Malaysian Oncological Society and Academy of Medicine Malaysia. Beside these, she is also an active member of various non-government organisations managing cancer patients and survivors.

Dr. Hema Yamini

Dr. Hema Yamini graduated from Melaka Manipal Medical College in 2008 and passed the Membership of Royal College of Physicians, UK examinations in 2013. She completed 2 years of subspecialty training in Respiratory Medicine in Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Kota Kinabalu, after which she completed a year of ‘Lung Cancer and Interventional Pulmonology’ fellowship in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, Australia. She also completed a 3-month fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology in Nagoya Medical Center in Japan. She is currently working as a pulmonologist in the Respiratory Department, Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Kota Kinabalu.

Prof. Dr. Ho Gwo Fuang

Dr. Ho Gwo Fuang is a Professor and clinical oncologist at University Malaya Medical Centre and University Malaya Specialist Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was trained at Barts and The London National Health Service (NHS) Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Trust in London. He attained his Certificate for Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2007 and joined the Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Malaya. His research interests involve breast, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers. He is involved in many national and international collaborative research work, as well as the training of new oncologists in Malaysia.

Dr. Ibtisam Muhamad Nor

Dr. Ibtisam Muhamad Nor obtained her undergraduate degree from Royal College of Surgeon (RCSI) in Dublin, Ireland in 2001 and completed her Master of Clinical Oncology at Universiti Malaya in 2012. She is now Deputy Head of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department, Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL). She has special interest in dental, upper GI, breast, gynaecological and colorectal cancers, and is also one of the specialists leading the total body irradiation and total skin electron treatment in HKL. Dr. Ibtisam is also a supervisor and examiner for the Master of Clinical Oncology programme at Universiti Malaya and is actively involved in industry sponsored research.

At the same time, Mr. Ooi also extended the Upper GI surgery services to private healthcare at Gleneagles Hospital and KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital, Kota Kinabalu. Mr. Ooi specialises in oncological treatment for upper GI cancers namely, esophageal and gastric cancers. He also has special interest in benign upper GI conditions such as gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease and motility disorders. He is a regular speaker for nutrition workshops in Malaysia and runs an active Nutrition Therapy Team in Sabah. Rainty Tioh is a  wife, mother of three, and a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 38 in 2012. She endured nearly a year of treatment, including 8 chemotherapy cycles, 15 radiotherapy sessions, 17 rounds of Herceptin therapy, and a decade of oral medication.
Surviving breast cancer profoundly humbled her. After completing treatment in 2013, she embraced sports, despite not being active in school. Cancer altered her perspective on life. She was involved in marathons, ultra marathons, triathlons, and swimming marathons. Cancer paused her momentarily, yet she emerged as a more determined, humble woman. This journey attests to the power of resilience, inspiring her and others to face life's challenges head-on.

Dr. Ratha Krishnan Sriram completed his undergraduate medical training at International Medical University (IMU) in 2005. He then completed Masters in Surgery from University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2013 before pursuing a subspecialty training in colorectal surgery. Locally, Dr. Krishnan completed his training at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Hospital Tuanku Jaáfar, Seremban. He then went on with overseas training in Taiwan and South Korea, focusing on laparoscopic and robotic colorectal cancer surgery. Dr. Krishnan is currently a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu and a visiting consultant at Hospital Queen Elizabeth. He is also an invited lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah for undergraduate medical courses and actively involved in teaching Master in Surgery students. 

He is the only colorectal surgeon in Sabah at the moment. He performs most of cancer surgeries laparoscopically and believes that minimally invasive surgery could help patients recover faster and continue with subsequent cancer treatment earlier. He is a strong believer of enhancing recovery after surgery and has a special interest in clinical nutrition. 

Dr Krishnan is also an active member of Parenteral and Enteral Society of Malaysia (PENSMA), Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (MSCRS), Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Malaysia (SELSMA) and the past president of Sabah Surgical Society (SSS). Dr. Ros Suzanna Ahmad Bustamam

Dr. Ros Suzanna Ahmad Bustamam is a clinical oncologist by training. She has been serving as the Head of the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology at Hospital Kuala Lumpur since 2017. In recognition of her expertise and leadership skills, she has also been appointed by the Director General of Health Malaysia as the Head of Service for Radiotherapy and Oncology, Ministry of Health Malaysia. She plays a crucial role in the development and future direction of radiotherapy and oncology services in Malaysia. Her responsibilities include distribution and infrastructure planning, capacity building and training.

Since 2016, Dr. Ros Suzanna has been a key committee member for the National Strategic Plan for Cancer Control Program. This program addresses cancer prevention and control from a holistic viewpoint that spans across primary prevention, screening, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care. Dr. Ros Suzanna has special interest in epigenetic studies for breast and gastric cancers. She obtained her Master of Medical Physics from the Universiti Malaya in 2015. Her master research project was awarded “The Student Prize for Best Project” by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine, United Kingdom. Her areas of expertise focus on stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy (SRS/SRT). She is also involved in the implementation of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) in Sarawak.

Dr. Yong Chee Meng, M.B.B.S, M.Med (O&G), Fellowship in Gynecological Oncology (Malaysia and Singapore), FICS (Gynaecological Oncology) (USA), FACS (Gynaecological Oncology) (USA), FRSPH (UK), is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Gynaecological Oncological Surgeon working in Hospital Ampang in Malaysia. He is one of the gynaecological oncologists in the Ministry of Health, Malaysia offering gynaecological oncology services for the state of Selangor. He completed his fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology in 2006 and conferred as Fellow of International College of Surgeon (FICS) in Gynaecological Oncology, USA in 2012, Fellow of American College of Surgeon (FACS) in Gynaecological Oncology, USA in 2013 and Fellow of Royal Society in Public Health (FRSPH), UK in 2013.
He is also an Honorary Lecturer to Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNISZA). He is also an external examiner to Melaka Manipal Medical College (MMMC), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Royal College of Surgeon- Perdana University and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNISZA). He is currently the Chairman of the Gynaecological Oncology Subcommittee in the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM) and the President of the Malaysian Gynaecological Cancer Society (MGCS).

Dr. Yusra Hadi

Dr. Yusra Hadi is a clinical oncologist currently working in Hospital Umum Sarawak. She obtained her medical degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2010 and Master of Clinical Oncology at Universiti Malaya in 2021. Her primary interest is in women's cancer (breast and gynaecological cancers) and sarcoma.

Dr. Zulaikha Jamalludin

Dr. Zulaikha currently serves as a senior lecturer and medical physicist at the Clinical Oncology Department, UMMC. She previously worked as medical physicist in Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) for 3 years before joining UMMC in 2010. She received her PhD in Clinical Oncology Physics in 2021 from the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. As a clinical physicist and lecturer in a teaching hospital, she is responsible in producing high quality radiotherapy treatment planning for oncology patients; perform dose measurement and quality assurance check on radiotherapy modalities while being involved with various clinical improvement technique, research and academic teaching related to medical physics and oncology services. Her main expertise and research cover all applications related to brachytherapy, stereotactic body radiotherapy, in vivo dosimetry, hybrid treatment planning, radiobiology of hypo-fractionated treatment and dosimetry audit of radiotherapy. She is also the author and co-author of a number of publications related to her field of expertise.
